It's been almost 10 years since I last visited Rosario, Batangas and I'm glad that there's a coffee shop nearby my High School friends' crib. Prim's is located at Brgy. Poblacion, Rosario Batangas and owned by Jorena Delgado, a Culinary Arts graduate of De La Salle Lipa.
The coffee shop's name is unique and special since it's her first born daughter's name. Jorena is in the same class with Mama Chelle's owner, Joseph Palcon and he had her internship at The Peninsula Manila then took crash course in Academy of Pastry and Bakery Arts wherein she harnessed her baking skills. After graduation, Jorena worked in Qatar at a French chain of bakery/café restaurant, PAUL, that specializes in serving French products including breads, crêpes, sandwiches, macarons, soups, cakes, pastries, coffee, wine, and beer.
Prim's offers a wide array of affordable coffee, all-day breakfast meals, sandwiches, pastas, pica-pica and and pastries.

It's Pinoy Secret Files' first time working with Dauntless Manila and it's very special since they are celebrating their first year anniversary. Dauntless Manila is an Events & Video Production House established by Airr Jimenez and Bjonzy Osorio last May 17, 2017. They celebrated their first year anniversary with an awesome gig last May 17, 2018, Thursday at B-Side, The Collective in Makati City. Dauntless Manila has produced tons of amazing show/gigs featuring the hottest local artists and bands in the music industry despite being new in the business. Here's their line up:

It's been a month already but I still can't move on from this year's Rakrakan Festival. Once again, Rakista Radio and REC made another mark to OPM history as they successfully hosted this year's Rakrakan Festival with the theme "Pinoy Muna".
The event was held last February 24, 2018 at Aseana City Concert Grounds which featured diverse OPM selection, more various stages and a lot of new activities. There are 121+ OPM artists, 6 Stages, a skateboarding exhibition and competition, BMX and Fixie Competition and Exhibition, an Inter-Collegiate Live Art Competition joined by top Universities in the Metro and nearby provinces, 70 local merchandise exhibit and many other thrilling activities.
Rakistas patiently lined up to enter the venue as gates opened after lunch under the scorching sun. Some came all the way from far provinces all over the country to experience this one historical event. Rakistas from all walks of life were gathered to witness the fun and excitement Rakrakan Festival has to offer. From students, professionals and even parents (how cool is that) who were very supportive with their Rakista offspring.
This is my second time attending Rakrakan and compared to last year, this year is definitely bigger, louder and bolder. One day is not enough for a humongous festival like this. If only we can split ourselves to fully experience all the stages and activities, believe me, we already did!
Here are the stages and bands who performed during the festival:
MOVE STAGE
December Avenue, Ben&Ben, Orange&Lemons, Hale, Moonstar88, 6cyclemind, Join The Club, Banda ni Kleggy, Gracenote, Soapdish, Agsunta, Stellar, Pedicab, Imago, Typecast, Maryzark, Drive Me To Juliet, Clara Benin, Tanya Markova, Bob
MOSH STAGE
Slapshock, Franco, Mayonnaise, Dicta License, Happy Three Friends, Siakol, Wilabaliw, Chicosci, Razorback, Kjwan, Basti Artadi, Now You Make Me Angry, Hilera, Faspitch, Even, Philia, Saydie, 123Pikit, Reborn, Fherrond
TROPA CENTER STAGE
Ely Buendia, Gloc 9, Side A, Freestyle, Spongecola, Urbandub, Silent Sanctuary, South Border, Itchyworms, Rocksteddy, Loonie, Ron Henley, Save Me Hollywood, Barbie Almalbis, Dello, Smuglaz, Curse One, Flict G, Dash Calzado, Migz Haleco, Eloise Jayloni, Absolute Play
INDIE STAGE
Autotelic, Leanne and Naara, IV of Spades, She's Only Sixteen, Brisom, Over October, Lions & Acrobat, Better Days, Dhruva Tara, Taken By Cars, Tom's Story, Monolog, About Radio, Cables & Space, Ciudad, BennyBunnyBand, The Late Isabel, Lunar Lights, Manila Under Fire
SLAM STAGE
Valley of Chrome, Skychurch, Sirens, The Youth, Philippine Violators, The Wuds, Gin Rhum & Truth, Run By Nine, Piledriver, Embercore, Vie, Badburn, Mr. Bones & the Boneyard Circus, Woopis, Talata, Snakefight, Shotgun Combo, Subculture, Bonifacio Republic, Days of January
GROOVE STAGE
Brownman Revival, Lion & The Scouts, Kokoi Baldo & Juan Gapang, On The Spot, The Chongkeys, Engkanto, Collie Herb, The Joyrides, The Buzzer Beater, We Got Herb, Coffee Break Island, VLTR, Green Leafy Vegetables, Jah Dela Cruz, Mike Swift & Miko Swabe, Sagip Adik Foundation, Plan of Fools, Reklamo, Blue Jean Junkies, Adinkra Lumads Djembe Community
As mentioned, there are a lots of activities that Rakistas participated and we really felt the support and appreciation of everyone. From buying local merchandise, art appreciation and joining extreme activities, everyone gave their best shot and support for fellow Rakistas.
Of course the highlight of the event were the OPM artists who performed and mingled with OPM fans. From legends to new and aspiring indie artists, everyone celebrated OPM's greatness.
The crowd favorites were IV of Spades, Ely Buendia, Slapshock, Brownman Revival, Franco, Mayonnaise and Dicta License to name a few.
For me, the highlight of the event was when Slapshock performed at the Mosh Stage (with some special "fire" effects). The crowd went really wild as they slam and groove to Slapshock's songs. I literally feared for my life on this set.
Here are some of the snaps we had:
Rakrakan Festival 2018: Pinoy Muna! was truly one successful event and a day to remember. I am looking forward to another event like this in the coming years so the next generation may also experience the greatness of OPM. Long Live Rakistas and OPM, we hope to see you all again next year!

February was indeed a busy day for me and Le Husband. It was our first Valentine's Day as a married couple but we kept it simple (everyday is Valentine's Day for us anyway, LOL). We really had a lot on our plate: from a client pre-nup photo shoot courtesy of Lomograpika Design Studio to covering Rakrakan Festival 2018: Pinoy Muna courtesy of Pinoy Secret Files.
Anyway, it's not a secret that I am a huge fan of Reese Lansangan. I came across her promotional contest for a concert hosted by Globe and Bonifacio High Street.
I joined out of pure support to Reese, without any hopes of winning.
I joined out of pure support to Reese, without any hopes of winning.
Days passed by like usual until one bright Saturday of February. I woke up late that day since we had a prenup shoot the day before and I was effin tired, and look what I discovered (I actually found out a day late, LOL)
Who would have thought I will actually win? Luck or Fate? I think it's the latter.
I told Le Husband about the wonderful news and without second thoughts, he agreed to attend. I really appreciate Le Husband that day because I know he was still tired from our previous photoshoot, but still, he supported her Reese Lansangan fan-girling wife.
Before the show starts, Le Husband and I had a chance to meet and greet Reese. I brought some goodies from South Korea as a pasalubong/gift and even brought the picture of her taken by John Marcelo which I won ages ago from one of her gig, Soldiers of Love.
It was nice of her to accept my gift and even complimented my OOTD. She was also kind enough to sign the picture I brought and even gave some video messages for my fan-girling friends (shout out to my fellow winner Adrienne who could't make it and to my son's friend, Calista Caibal, who loves Reese as well).
After a tiring month, I believe Le Husband and I deserved this break from work. This time, we are not in front of the stage taking snaps of our favorite artist. It's time for us to sit back, relax and enjoy the show. Also, as much as I want to take photos, professional camera is not allowed and I also wanted to just enjoy the moment.
I would like to thank Globe for making this possible and also to the artists who performed along side Reese Lansangan. Le Husband and I really had a memorable late Valentine's date.
PS. I am now a legit and official member of Reese Kids AKA Batang Lansangan (Reese Lansangan's fans club), so Hurrah!

There are lots of newly opened restaurant in my hometown, Lipa City and I got to chance eat in this newest restaurant in Lipa just opened last January 16, 2018 courtesy of Pinoy Secret Files and Lomograpika Design Studio. Mama Chelle's offers various affordable meals perfect for yourself or sharing.
The place and ambiance is refreshing, peaceful and full of positivity. Mama Chelle's is the perfect place for students who wants to dine and study as well as for couples who want a quiet place to eat after a tiring day at work. The interior is well lit, fully air-conditioned and has unique design which also showcase art works by Charlene Navarro from Tanauan City.
Brain child of two young Chefs, Aundrea Rivera and Joseph Palcon, Mama Chelle's is named after the latter's late Mother, Mrs. Rochelle Palcon. The two met during their internship at The Ritz Carlton Amelia Island, Florida, USA last 2016 and blossomed to a romantic relationship turned business partners.Aundrea, hailed from Pasay City, took her Bachelor's Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Major in Culinary Arts at Saint Paul University, Manila. Joseph, born and raised in Batangas, finished Culinary Arts at De La Salle Lipa. Young and inspired, they ventured to their passion and proffered home cooking in memoriam of Joseph's Mom.
They have a lot to offer but their best sellers are Tapsi, Wings, Sisig and Desserts. Their homemade tapsilog is juicy and tender, just how you like it. For only 60 Pesos, you may choose from Original and Sweet & Spicy flavor. Their sisig is homemade as well and has the right kick of salt and spice all over. Their Wings comes with rice and nachos and has various flavors: Sweet and Spicy, Spicy Buffalo, Lemon Butter and Soy Garlic. They offer 3 pieces (1 Flavor) for only 99 Pesos and 6 pieces (1 Flavor or combination of 2) for only 139 Pesos. So affordable right? My favorite wass Sweet and Spicy, Le Husband's was Spicy Buffalo while our son liked the Lemon Butter and Soy Garlic flavor.
They also offer wide array of desserts and their best sellers are Ultimate Halo-Halo, Churro Bowls and Sizzling Smores, perfect for sharing to beat the summer heat. These desserts are good for sharing, perfect for couples and group of friends. Parched? Time for some cool refreshments. You may choose from either cucumber lemonade or orange sunrise for only 25 Pesos.
