It's already August and it's been a year since Le Husband and I got married. This year, we opted to have a simple celebration with our families since my Mom and Sister is back in the country for vacation. Aside from our wedding anniversary, the highlight this month is the Runway Crimes' Album Launch. Here's my entry for this month.

I love working with Red Ninja Productions on behalf of Pinoy Secret Files. We are invited as one of the media partners for Runway Crimes "Familiarity" Album Launch last August 25, 2018 at Social House, Makati City.
Runway Crimes is a post-hardcore indie band started almost a decade ago composed of group of friends headed by Paolo Tabuena (Vocals), Matthew Warren / Chaco Cruz (Guitars), Martin Hocson (Bass), Paolo Owyong (Drums) and Philip Verzosa (Keyboards/Synth).
The event was kicked off by singer-songwriter, visual artist, graphic designer, fashion designer, and published author - all rolled into one convenient sushi, Reese Lansangan (my favorite). I was really surprised and happy that she performed since she was not in the original line-up.

Lions and Acrobats on the other hand performed their greatest hits and the crowd went crazy. The independent band is known to be successful with orchestrating multiple melodies simultaneously through three guitarists (Jim Lopez, Carlo Lava, Andrew Son), a bassist (Oteph Tumambing) and a vocalist (Icoy Rapadas) that thrives into bobbing and weaving through thick and intricate chord progressions which are all of course, backed by the drummer (Pedro Tumibay) following strict dynamics and timely syncopation.

Fun fact, June is the birthday month of some of my closest friends plus 2 of my best friends got married this month. June is a special month indeed since Shoti graduated and Le son started 6th grade. Mama went home from Milan as a surprise and was able to attend Shoti's graduation, a short and sweet break from her work. Speaking of work, we at Pinoy Secret Files were able to attend Dauntless Manila's gigs: Hatag and December Avenue X Autotelic and iDarts Dash Grand Launch at BGC. Here's my entry this month.

Pinoy Secret Files was invited to attend the Grand launch of iDarts Dash. i Darts, the international franchise that sweeps across the globe with a dynamic concept of making extraordinary fun times aims to bring about a new activity for everybody. i Darts DASH held it's grand launch last June 27, Wednesday hosted by 99.5’s finest Dj Jaz Reyes featuring beats by Dj Brandon and DJ Nina.

Pinoy Secret Files are invited to cover Hatag: Giving Back To The Community last June 07, 2018 in Enderun Colleges.
Enderun Colleges is a private non-sectarian undergraduate college and one of their organization, Adparo, Rego & Iuvo, a social entrepreneurship organization that aims to fundraise for a cause composed of Senior High School students in the track of Accountancy, Business & Management in partnership with Events and Production house, Dauntless Manila, organized this event for a cause.
Enderun Colleges is a private non-sectarian undergraduate college and one of their organization, Adparo, Rego & Iuvo, a social entrepreneurship organization that aims to fundraise for a cause composed of Senior High School students in the track of Accountancy, Business & Management in partnership with Events and Production house, Dauntless Manila, organized this event for a cause.
Special performances from student and invited performers kicked off the intimate event. Sab Bueno, Sarsa Parillas, Serotonin, Elai and Elle Sebastian performed their hearts out. The highlight of the event was performances by IV of Spades, Silent Sanctuary, Leanne and Naara and Emmanuelle Vera.

Big news, Le Husband and I are now eating healthy! Yes, we are finally vegetarians and hopefully vegans soon. We drastically changed to being vegetarian and it is actually not that hard. I will blog our vegetarian journey in the near future and let's focus on what has transpired this month. We reviewed Prim's Coffee and Patisserie, the newest coffee shop in Rosario, Batangas and attended Dauntless Manila's 1st year anniversary gig on behalf of Pinoy Secret Files. It's been almost 10 years since I last visited Rosario, Batangas and I'm glad that there's a coffee shop nearby my High School friends' crib. Prim's is located at Brgy. Poblacion, Rosario Batangas and owned by Jorena Delgado, a Culinary Arts graduate of De La Salle Lipa.
The coffee shop's name is unique and special since it's her first born daughter's name. Jorena is in the same class with Mama Chelle's owner, Joseph Palcon and he had her internship at The Peninsula Manila then took crash course in Academy of Pastry and Bakery Arts wherein she harnessed her baking skills. After graduation, Jorena worked in Qatar at a French chain of bakery/café restaurant, PAUL, that specializes in serving French products including breads, crêpes, sandwiches, macarons, soups, cakes, pastries, coffee, wine, and beer.
Prim's offers a wide array of affordable coffee, all-day breakfast meals, sandwiches, pastas, pica-pica and and pastries.
